BossDown is an independent site that writes clear, researched guides for the games people are actually playing right now — boss fights, builds, walkthroughs, and the tips a game never bothers to tell you.

Who We Are

We are a small team of long-time players who got tired of guides that were thin, out of date, or clearly written by someone who had never reached the part they were describing. So we started writing the guides we wished we could find: specific, honest, and kept current. We are independent — not owned by a publisher or a network — which means we cover what players are searching for and stuck on, not what someone paid us to promote.

What We Cover

We focus on the games where good text guides are genuinely useful — RPGs, soulslikes, strategy games, survival and open-world titles — and we lean into new releases, where players need help most and the existing guides are thinnest.

How We Make Our Guides

Every guide starts with research, never memory. We pull from multiple sources for each game — official patch notes, in-game data, established wikis, and hands-on play — and cross-check the details before we publish. When something is not confirmed, or a game is brand new and the meta is still shifting, we say so instead of guessing. We Keep Guides Current

Games change constantly. When a patch rebalances a build or an expansion adds content, we go back and revise the affected guides and mark them with an updated date. If you ever find something wrong or out of date, please let us know — reader corrections are one of the main ways we stay accurate.
