Crimson Desert Best Legendary Weapons — Locations and Stats
Every top legendary weapon in Crimson Desert with exact locations, stats, and build recommendations.
Not every legendary in Crimson Desert is worth your time. Some are locked behind brutal boss fights for mediocre stats. Others are sitting in forgotten caves with effects that reshape your entire build. This guide covers the ones that actually matter, where to find them, and which builds they belong in.
One caveat: Abyss Gears matter more than weapon rarity. A common longsword with Momentum and Savage will outdamage a legendary with no synergy. Legendaries are the cherry on top, not the foundation.
Soul Spear — The Best Two-Handed Weapon in the Game
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 27 |
| Type | Two-Handed |
| Location | Antumbra Ritual Grounds, west of Hernand |
| Special | Spectral projectiles on kill (10s cooldown) |
ATK 27 is the highest you’ll find on any two-handed weapon. The spectral projectile effect pushes it further. Every kill sends ghostly spears at nearby targets. The 10-second cooldown keeps it from being broken, but in group encounters you’re getting free damage before you even swing.
How to get it: Travel west from Hernand to Antumbra Ritual Grounds. No boss gate, just a dangerous zone with high-level enemies. Clear the ritual site and the spear is in a chest at the center.
Best build: Kliff with Momentum + Savage. The stat stick that makes the Lariat Cycle hit hardest.
Frozen Anguish — The Stamina Engine
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 25 |
| Type | Two-Handed |
| Location | Spire of Frost, Dead Fire Mountains |
| Special | Stamina Transference per hit |
Two ATK points below Soul Spear, but Stamina Transference per hit compensates. Every swing refunds stamina, which means longer combo chains and more Turning Slash repetitions before you run dry.
Below Stamina level 7-8, Frozen Anguish might actually output more total damage per fight than Soul Spear. At Stamina 10, the refund matters less and Soul Spear’s raw ATK wins.
How to get it: The Spire of Frost is a vertical dungeon in the Dead Fire Mountains. Expect frostbite buildup, so bring fire-resist food. The weapon is in a chest at the spire’s peak after clearing the final room.
Best build: Any sustained melee build that hasn’t maxed Stamina. Particularly strong on Kliff or Oongka, who both burn stamina fast with heavy attacks.
Vessel of Dark Pursuit — The Stacking Damage Bomb
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 25 |
| Type | Two-Handed |
| Location | Sanctum of Absolution (defeat Antumbra’s Sword boss) |
| Special | Wound of Darkness: stack debuffs, explodes at 5 stacks |
Each hit applies a Wound of Darkness stack. At 5 stacks, they detonate for a burst of dark damage. Against bosses with long stagger windows, you can stack and pop multiple times per fight. The damage is absurd when you can stagger-lock a target.
The catch: stacks decay if you stop hitting. Block-and-poke playstyles will never reach 5 consistently.
How to get it: Defeat Antumbra’s Sword in the Sanctum of Absolution. Proper boss fight with fast dark-element combos and teleport mix-ups. Bring Keen Senses at level 3 minimum.
Best build: Aggressive Kliff with Haste to stack Wounds faster. Also works on Damiane’s rapier if you can sustain pressure.
Ignir — The Story Reward That’s Actually Good
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 24 |
| Type | Two-Handed |
| Location | Chapter 7 story reward |
| Special | Destruction x2 + Insight |
Most story rewards are stat-checked garbage by the time you get them. Ignir is the exception. ATK 24 is competitive for Chapter 7, and the built-in Destruction x2 plus Insight effects mean you’re getting three Abyss-tier bonuses without spending any Abyss Gear slots. That frees your actual Abyss Gears for pure utility like Life Transference or Aegis II.
How to get it: You can’t miss it. Ignir is a mandatory story reward at the end of Chapter 7. No hidden quest, no optional boss.
Best build: Transition weapon between mid and late game. Use it while farming Soul Spear or Frozen Anguish. The triple innate effects make it self-sufficient.
Survivor’s Solitude — Best One-Handed Sword
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 21 |
| Type | One-Handed Sword |
| Location | Death’s Grip Cavern, northwest of Lake Kharonso |
| Special | Swift + Insight + Destruction |
Three innate Abyss effects on a one-handed sword. Swift increases attack speed, Insight boosts skill damage, Destruction adds flat damage. This combination means your Abyss Gear slots are completely free for defensive options, which makes Survivor’s Solitude the best choice for a tanky sword-and-shield build.
ATK 21 is lower than two-handed options, but that’s the trade-off for shield access. If you’re running Aegis II + Life Transference and still want respectable damage, this is your weapon.
How to get it: Death’s Grip Cavern, northwest of Lake Kharonso. Short puzzle section with pressure plates. The weapon is in a chest after the puzzle, not behind the optional mini-boss.
Best build: Tank Kliff with Aegis II + Life Transference. Also solid for learning new boss patterns when you want maximum survivability.
Acria Sword — The Crit Machine
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 19 |
| Type | One-Handed Sword |
| Location | Stellen Manor (music box puzzle) |
| Special | Crit Rate Lv. 2 |
ATK 19 won’t impress anyone, but Crit Rate Lv. 2 built in means every hit has a meaningful crit chance. Stack with Savage and you can build your entire damage output around crit consistency.
How to get it: Stellen Manor music box puzzle. Find three music box pieces in the manor’s rooms and insert them in order. Logic puzzle, no combat.
Best build: Crit-focused Kliff with Savage + Haste. Fast attacks, high crit chance, consistent damage. Not the highest ceiling but very comfortable.
Tauria Curved Sword — Style Points With Substance
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 15 |
| Type | One-Handed |
| Location | Chapter 5 (defeat Draven the Crowcaller) |
| Special | Crow’s Pursuit: spectral ravens chase targets |
ATK 15 is low for the point in the game where you get it. So why is it on this list? Crow’s Pursuit. Spectral ravens chase your target after you hit them, dealing damage over time. Against mobile bosses that run away constantly, the ravens keep pressure up while you reposition. It’s one of the few weapons with a tracking damage effect.
How to get it: Beat Draven the Crowcaller in Chapter 5. He’s a mandatory story boss, so you can’t miss the fight. The sword is a guaranteed drop.
Best build: Fun pick for bow hybrid builds. Hit with melee, send ravens, switch to bow while ravens do work. Not optimal but satisfying.
Goblin King’s Treasure Dagger — Highest Crit in the Game
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| ATK | 16 |
| Type | Dagger |
| Location | Pororin Forest, under Mudridge Cabin |
| Special | Crit Rate Lv. 5 (highest crit rate of any weapon) |
ATK 16 is terrible. Crit Rate Lv. 5 is not. This dagger crits on nearly every other hit. Pair it with Savage and you’re looking at crit rates above 60%. The individual hits are small, but daggers are fast, and when more than half of them crit, the damage stacks up.
This is a niche weapon for players who enjoy the bleed-and-crit dagger playstyle. It won’t replace a longsword for general use, but for its specific role, nothing in the game competes.
How to get it: Go to Pororin Forest and find Mudridge Cabin. The dagger is underneath the cabin in a cellar accessed through a trapdoor on the cabin’s east side. There’s a goblin mini-boss guarding it, but it’s not particularly hard.
Best build: Speed-crit builds with Savage + Haste. Niche but fun.
Which Legendary Should You Farm First?
If you’re playing Kliff (and you probably are for the main story), get Soul Spear first. ATK 27 is a power spike that nothing else matches in the mid game. After that, grab Ignir for free from Chapter 7 and use it as your backup. Farm Frozen Anguish later if you want stamina sustain.
For one-handed users, Survivor’s Solitude is the priority. Three free Abyss effects on a single weapon is too much value to ignore.
Everything else is situational. Build around what your playstyle needs, not what has the highest ATK number.
