Star Savior Tier List: Best Saviors for PvE and PvP (June 2026)

How to read this list

This tier list reflects the current patch as of June 2026 (around version 2.2.1), and it is split into PvE (story, bosses, farming) and PvP (arena), because the two modes do not value the same Saviors. A unit that solos story content can be mediocre in the arena, and the reverse is true too.

Two things to keep straight before you read the rankings:

1. The limited variants are the strong ones. When you see names like Asherah (Waltz of Starlight), Bunnygirl Charlotte, Bunnygirl Claire, or Frey (Noble Princess), those are the premium banner versions. Their plain-named counterparts (base Asherah, base Charlotte, base Claire) are different, weaker units. The split between limited and standard is something the community reads from the naming rather than an official in-game label, but in practice the variant versions are the ones that top these lists.
2. PvE rank does not equal PvP rank. Check both tables.

Below A sit the base versions of several units (base Asherah, base Claire, base Scarlet, base Frey) plus a long tail of situational picks. They are usable early but not worth heavy investment when you have S tier options.

PvE takeaways:

• Emily is the best tank in the game for PvE, with strong manual control and the ability to solo content once invested.

• Lacy keeps getting flagged as a must-build unit even though she sits in S rather than S+, so do not skip her.

Lower down, PvP pushes most base variants and slower units into B and C, where they struggle against arena speed and burst.

PvP takeaways:

• Hilde is the top arena tank, ahead of Emily here, which is the clearest example of the mode difference.
• Asherah (Waltz of Starlight) holds S+ in both modes, which is a big part of why she is the top pull and build target overall.
• Bunnygirl Charlotte drops from S+ in PvE all the way to A in PvP. If you mainly fight in the arena, do not over-invest in her expecting PvE performance.

What to build first

If you are spreading limited resources, the safe order that works in both modes is Emily, then Lacy, then Asherah (Waltz of Starlight). That gives you a top tank, a flexible must-build, and a healer-support whose kit holds up everywhere. Tier lists in gacha games shift with every new banner and balance patch. This reflects the meta around version 2.2.1 in June 2026. By the time you read it a new Savior may have reshuffled the top tiers, so treat this as the current shape rather than a permanent ranking, and re-check after any major update.
