All 9 Treasure Car Locations in Forza Horizon 6
Find every Treasure Car in Forza Horizon 6 Japan. All 9 cars, their regions, how the clue system works, and bonus XP trick for each car.
What Are Treasure Cars?
Treasure Cars are new to Forza Horizon 6. Unlike Barn Finds (which give you a general search area and make you hunt), Treasure Cars tell you exactly what the car is and give you a visual photo clue to find the location. Once you discover enough of a region, the clue becomes available.
The other big difference: no waiting. Barn Find cars need restoration time before you can drive them. Treasure Cars are yours immediately — a quick wash cutscene and they’re in your garage.
There are 9 Treasure Cars total, one hidden in each region outside Tokyo.
The 10,000 XP Trick
Every Treasure Car has a skill point node in its Car Mastery tree that awards 10,000 XP for a single skill point. That’s the highest XP-per-skill-point ratio of any car type in the game. After finding each Treasure Car, immediately open its Car Mastery and spend one point on the XP node. Nine cars times 10,000 XP = 90,000 free XP just for clicking a menu.
All 9 Treasure Cars
1. 1991 Nissan Figaro — Tokyo City
The retro-styled convertible from Nissan’s Pike Factory lineup (same family as the Pao Barn Find). The Figaro is a charming cruiser — slow, stylish, and surprisingly fun in photo mode with Tokyo’s neon backdrop. The clue points toward the commercial district area of Tokyo.
2. 2005 Ford GT — Nangan Region
The mid-engine American supercar with Le Mans heritage. A seriously competitive car in S1 class with strong straight-line speed and respectable handling. Finding it in Nangan gives you a top-tier racer for free. Check the open areas in the southern part of the region.
3. 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE — Ohtani Region
The first-generation RX-7 with the rotary engine that started Mazda’s sports car legacy. Light, balanced, and a solid foundation for drift or road racing builds. Your photo clue will point toward the Ohtani countryside.
4. 1987 Porsche 959 — Shimanoyama Region
One of the most important supercars ever built. The 959 pioneered AWD in a supercar, and in-game it’s a capable all-weather performer. Shimanoyama’s alpine terrain is fitting — the 959 was built to handle anything. Look in the mountainous areas.
5. 1969 Dodge Charger R/T — Minamino Region
American muscle in Japan. The Charger R/T is heavy, loud, and overpowered for tight corners — which makes it incredibly fun on Minamino’s flat open roads where you can point it straight and let it breathe. The flat southern plains make searching relatively straightforward.
6. 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo — Ito Region
The Nissan Patrol/Safari in turbocharged form. A rare off-road vehicle find that’s genuinely useful for cross-country events. Most players overlook it, but a tuned Safari holds its own against dedicated off-roaders. Search the coastal and wooded areas of Ito.
7. 1981 BMW M1 — Hokubu Region
BMW’s only mid-engine production car. Designed with Lamborghini’s involvement, the M1 is a piece of automotive history. In-game it handles beautifully for its era — surprisingly competitive in A-class with proper tuning. Hokubu’s northern terrain holds this one.
8. 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III — Takashiro Region
The Evo III that cemented Mitsubishi’s rally reputation. AWD, turbocharged, and incredibly agile on dirt. One of the best rally cars available in the game’s early-to-mid tier. Takashiro’s mountain passes are the natural habitat for this car. Search the highland roads.
9. 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale — Sotoyama Region
The rally legend that won three consecutive World Rally Championships. Mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive, and sounds unlike anything else in the game. The Stratos is rare in real life and rare in Forza — finding it in Sotoyama is worth the drive. Check near the mountain lodge area.
How to Unlock Treasure Car Clues
You don’t need to do anything special — just explore. As you reveal each region’s roads and discover landmarks, the game automatically notifies you when a Treasure Car clue is available. The more of a region you’ve discovered, the sooner the clue appears.
Check your map for a camera icon — that marks an available Treasure Car clue. Drive to the icon, view the photo clue, then head to the location it depicts. The car is parked somewhere in that area, usually visible from the road if you drive slowly.
Tips for Finding Them Faster
- Explore regions fully before hunting. The clue won’t appear until you’ve discovered enough of the region. Rushing to search without the clue is pointless.
- The photo clue shows a real location. Match the landmarks in the photo (buildings, trees, terrain features) to your surroundings. It’s not abstract.
- Use ANNA if stuck. The drone can scout the area from above, and Treasure Cars are usually parked in slightly unusual spots (off a side road, in a clearing, behind a building).
- Check during daytime in-game. Car outlines are harder to spot at night. If it’s dark, wait for the time cycle or set the time manually in event settings.
